Available report dimensions

Dimensions control how your report groups the data — they are the categories that define each row of your report. Choosing the right dimension or combination of dimensions depends on the question you are trying to answer.

Date dimensions

DimensionDescription
DateGroups data day by day. Best for short date ranges where you want to see daily trends.
MonthGroups data month by month. Useful for longer-range comparisons and monthly performance summaries.
YearGroups data by calendar year. Primarily useful for annual review reports.

Demand dimension

DimensionDescription
ProductGroups by individual ad product (Standard Display, Instream Video, Standard Native, etc.). More granular than Media Type.

Inventory dimensions

DimensionDescription
DomainGroups by website. The starting point for any cross-site comparison.
SubdomainGroups by subdomain within a domain.
Media TypeGroups by Display, Video, or Native. A higher-level alternative to Product.
Ad UnitGroups by individual ad placement identifier. The most granular inventory dimension.

Targeting dimensions

DimensionDescription
DeviceGroups by device type: Desktop, Mobile, Tablet, CTV, Feature phone. Almost always reveals a meaningful eCPM gap between Desktop (typically higher) and Mobile (typically higher volume).
Operating SystemGroups by OS. Useful for identifying platform-specific issues or opportunities.
CountryGroups by country. Essential for understanding geographic revenue contribution.

Deal dimensions

DimensionDescription
Deal IDGroups by the unique identifier of a programmatic deal. Use when troubleshooting a specific PMP deal.
Deal NameGroups by the human-readable deal name. More convenient than Deal ID for most analysis.
Deal TypeGroups by category: Open Auction, Deal, or Proposal.
